My research interest are on bridging genomics and crop improvement. My role in the Crop Adaptation Lab is to identify genetic variants in adaptive traits and develop tools to deploy them in breeding programs. The aim of my research is to 1) identify functional mutations, 2) identify donor parental lines, 3) develop molecular makers.Â
As part of the ILCI Trait Discovery team, I work with breeding programs in the National Agricultural Resarch Systems (NARs) to develop tools, training materials and technologies that allow them to modernize their breeding programs and incorporate genomics.
